Mianyang City's "Cultural Three Push" Event is about to set off in Hangzhou

As one of the themed events in the 2024 Mianyang City "Cultural Three Push" Hangzhou series, the "Poetic Art Realm - He Duojun’s Li Bai and Du Fu Poetic Paintings Exhibition" will be held at the Hangzhou Academy of Fine Arts Gallery from April 25th to May 5th.
Mianyang is the birthplace of the poet Li Bai, known as the "Poetic Genius" who, with his exceptional talent, once remarked, "With a few words, I paint a half of flourishing Tang Dynasty." His remarkable talent has left behind numerous immortal poems for future generations. Du Fu considered Li Bai as a close friend, and his poems often reflected concerns for the state and the people, earning him the title of the "Poet Sage of a Thousand Autumns." During the Tang Dynasty, Li Bai resided for over a year in the ancient regions of Mianzhou (Mianyang) and Zizhou (Santai), where he composed over a hundred enduring poems.
In recent years, the painter He DuoJun from Mianyang has drawn inspiration from the poetic sentiments of Li Bai and Du Fu to create artistic works imbued with poetic essence. These pieces feature a unique style, simple yet profound forms, rich ink tones, and vibrant colors. Through meticulous expression of imagery selection, scene arrangement, composition, and character gestures, the artworks poetically capture the essence of Li Bai and Du Fu's poetry, offering viewers a profound emotional and visual experience.
Hangzhou is one of the central cities in the Yangtze River Delta, and it is one of the first batch of national historical and cultural cities, renowned as the "Famous Prefecture in Southeast China". Mianyang is the only science and technology city in China approved by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council. It is an important city in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and a key point in the "Innovation Golden Triangle" of Chengdu-Chongqing-Mianyang.
Over a thousand years ago, Li Bai left his home in Mianyang with a sword and traveled afar, arriving in Hangzhou where he penned the famous lines, "Poetry completes the proud clouds and moon, delightful scenes abound in Wu region." Seventeen years later, during his return to Hangzhou, he wrote the lines, "The good wind blows the setting sun, flowing water leads to a long chant," which are still recited by people to this day.
The "Poetic Heart and Artistic Realm - He Duojun's Exhibition of One Hundred Poetic Paintings of Li Bai and Du Fu" was held in Hangzhou this time, deepening the cultural exchange between Li Bai's hometown, the Chinese Science and Technology City, and the millennium ancient capital. It also marked the beginning of the "Cultural Three Push" activities in Hangzhou for Mianyang.
The second stop of the 2024 Mianyang "Cultural Three Push" activities is set to land in Hangzhou. In addition to hosting the "Poetic Heart and Artistic Realm - He Duojun's Exhibition of One Hundred Poetic Paintings of Li Bai and Du Fu," there will also be a cultural and tourism resource promotion conference, exhibition and sale of intangible cultural heritage creative products, and other series of activities, allowing local residents to have a one-stop, immersive experience of the cultural charm of Mianyang, the Chinese Science and Technology City.
