2024-04-26

On April 18th, 2024, the 5th China (Mianyang) Rare Earth Permanent Magnet Industry Chain Conference was held in Mianyang.
With the theme of "Magnetic Future, Striving for Excellence," the conference brought together over 400 renowned experts and scholars from across the country, representatives of domestic and international companies along the entire magnetic material industry chain, and leaders of third-party consulting firms in Mianyang. Through lectures, forums, and other forms of discussion, they explored the theme, exchanged experiences, and collectively analyzed the current changes in the rare earth industry. They discussed the healthy and high-quality development of the industry and jointly built a new pattern for the rare earth industry.
At the meeting, experts from the Asian Wealth Forum, the China Rare Earth Industry Association, and the China Automotive Industry Economic and Technical Information Research Institute addressed the industry's most pressing issues. They delivered keynote speeches on domestic and international macroeconomic policies for 2023-2024, research reports on the Chinese rare earth market, and the current status and trends in the Chinese automotive industry. As a representative of Giant Star Permanent Magnet, an enterprise, they analyzed the new developments and directions in the sintered neodymium iron boron materials for 2023-2024. Following that, experts, scholars, and corporate representatives engaged in forum discussions on new models and paths for industry development.
According to the understanding, Mianyang's rare earth permanent magnet industry has strong industrial strength, leading research capabilities, and abundant supporting resources. It is an important base for the magnetic materials industry in Sichuan Province, with 15 large-scale enterprises including Juxing Permanent Magnet, China Electronics Technology Corporation No. 9 Institute, Western Magnet Technology, and Western Magnet Electrics. The supporting products of magnetic materials and their terminal applications are extensive. Mianyang also has a cluster of electronic information industry worth hundreds of billions, a cluster of high-end equipment industry, a cluster of nuclear technology application industry worth tens of billions, a cluster of artificial intelligence industry, and a cluster of aerospace industry, actively building a layout for the integrated development of magnetic materials industry with "one core and three bases".
