China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City Artificial Intelligence College Officially Established, Li Yun Attended and Unveiled the Plaque

On April 28, the unveiling ceremony of the China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City Artificial Intelligence College was held at Southwest University of Science and Technology. Li Yun, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, attended the event and unveiled the plaque.
To fully implement the deployment requirements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council, as well as the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, and actively seize the major opportunities of the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, to occupy the high ground in the field of technological innovation and talent cultivation in the field of artificial intelligence, and to accelerate the development of new productive forces, our city has established the China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City Artificial Intelligence Institute.
The China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City Artificial Intelligence Institute is led by Southwest University of Science and Technology, integrating research institutions and large enterprises in Mianyang, as well as member universities in the "Cloud University City" such as the University of Science and Technology of China, linking artificial intelligence enterprises. It adopts a "1+N" model of joint construction by government, schools, enterprises, and research institutes to create a first-class characteristic institute in the field of artificial intelligence, focusing on talent cultivation, incubation and application of cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements. It strives to build an integrated institute of "government-industry-academia-research-application" in the field of artificial intelligence, and to vigorously create an important talent center and innovation highland in the field of artificial intelligence in order to provide strong talent and technological support for the high-quality development of the artificial intelligence industry in China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City.
At the unveiling ceremony, Yang Junhui, the Party Secretary of Southwest University of Science and Technology, presided over the event; Huang Qi, the Deputy Party Secretary and President of Southwest University of Science and Technology, Lu Weijiang, a second-level inspector from the Provincial Department of Education, and Deng Hui, the Deputy Mayor and Secretary of the Fucheng District Committee, delivered speeches. The Municipal Education and Sports Bureau, Municipal Economic and Information Bureau, Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Southwest University of Science and Technology, as well as enterprises and research institutes such as iFlytek, Changhong, Jiuzhou, and China Ordnance Equipment Group Automation Research Institute, signed a cooperation agreement. Subsequently, Li Yun and Huang Qi jointly unveiled the plaque for the China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City Artificial Intelligence Institute.
