The Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee Holds a Meeting

On April 15th, the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee held a meeting to convey and study the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, as well as the relevant spirits of the central meetings, and the relevant spirits of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. The meeting also discussed the opinions on implementing in our city. Cao Lijun, member of the Provincial Standing Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

The recent meetings of the Central Political Bureau, the National Inspection Work Conference, and the mobilization and deployment meeting for the third round of central inspections have made arrangements for carrying out the rectification of problems discovered in the second round of central inspections and effectively promoting the third round of inspections. The meeting emphasized the importance of conveying the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech when participating in the tree planting activity in the capital. It stressed the need to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping's ecological civilization ideology, profoundly understand the important discourse of General Secretary Xi Jinping on "increasing greenery is enhancing advantages, planting trees is planting the future," and the important requirements of "expanding, developing, and protecting greenery simultaneously" and "everyone is responsible for greening the motherland." It urged placing tree planting and afforestation in a prominent position related to high-quality development and modernization construction, combining with the launch of a new large-scale greening action in Mianzhou, promoting the construction of forest cities, protecting ancient trees and famous trees, and establishing reserve forests as key ecological projects. It aims to optimize the structure of forests and tree species, focus on improving the total quantity and quality of forest and grass resources, continuously strengthen the green foundation for high-quality development in Mianyang.
The meeting conveyed and studied the important speech and important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on learning and education of Party discipline, studied the notice issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee on carrying out Party discipline learning and education throughout the Party, and the spirit of the meetings of the Central and Provincial Party Building Leading Groups. The meeting reviewed the implementation plan for carrying out Party discipline learning and education throughout the city and the work plan for the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee to lead the Party discipline learning and education. The meeting emphasized the need to effectively align thoughts and actions with the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee, to stand on a political height of firm support for the "Two Establishments" and resolutely uphold the "Two Safeguards", to carefully plan and arrange, to organize and implement meticulously, to ensure effective supervision and guidance, to strengthen publicity and guidance, to guard against formalism, to complete the various tasks of Party discipline learning and education with high quality, and to ensure tangible results in learning, understanding, abiding by, and observing Party discipline.
