Li Yun supervises and inspects gas safety work

On April 8th, Li Yun, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, went to Fucheng District and Youxian District to supervise and inspect gas safety work. He emphasized the need to deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on production safety and important directives on gas safety, earnestly implement the deployment requirements of the central and provincial governments, always adhere to the principle of people first and life first, thoroughly carry out a comprehensive inspection and rectification of gas safety, effectively strengthen the defense line of gas safety, and make every effort to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
During a visit to the Chaoyang Military Subdistrict in Fucheng District, Li Yun conducted a household inspection of the gas facilities and pipeline renovation progress. He demanded that local and relevant departments comprehensively investigate the risks of aging and "running with illness" in gas pipelines, accelerate the progress of upgrading and renovating the old gas network, enhance daily maintenance and management efforts, and ensure the safe and stable operation of urban gas facilities. Safety is the lifeline of the development of gas companies. At the Shilongzui Station of Xingmian Gas Company, Li Yun inspected the safe operation of gas facilities, inquired about daily safety management practices, and urged business leaders to firmly shoulder their primary responsibilities, strengthen safety management training for employees, and strictly adhere to safety standards and operating procedures in production and operation. He also instructed regulatory authorities to focus on key aspects such as gas production, transportation, sales, usage, and storage, intensify regulatory enforcement efforts, and ensure overall gas supply and usage safety.
Li Yun emphasized that gas safety concerns every household. Local departments should strictly implement the "three stricts and three musts" requirements, always keep a clear mind, and take action with a sense of responsibility to ensure gas safety is strictly enforced and accidents are effectively prevented. It is necessary to thoroughly investigate and rectify hidden dangers, focusing on key areas such as large supermarkets, hotels, schools, hospitals, old residential areas, and "nine small places," conduct comprehensive inspections, identify all issues, and make immediate corrections, ensuring timely rectification and closure of cases. Special efforts should be made to address the operation of gas pipelines with faults, and efforts should be intensified... Efforts should be made to strengthen gas safety publicity and education, widely disseminate gas laws, regulations, and safety knowledge, effectively enhance public safety awareness and emergency response capabilities.
