Cao Lijun presides over the ninth meeting of the Eighth Municipal Party Committee's Committee for Comprehensive Deepening Reform

On April 12th, the Ninth Meeting of the Eighth Municipal Party Committee's Committee for Comprehensive Deepening Reform was held, with Cao Lijun, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, and Director of the Municipal Committee for Comprehensive Deepening Reform, presiding over and delivering a speech at the meeting. He emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on comprehensive deepening reform, comprehensively implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the work requirements of the Provincial Party Committee, adhere to effectively utilizing the key strategy of reform and opening up, scientifically plan major reform measures in the city, promote the organic connection, effective coordination, and orderly linkage of various reforms, continuously injecting momentum and vitality to drive high-quality development in Mianyang.

The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of the Fourth Meeting of the Central Committee for Comprehensive Deepening of Reform and the Sixth Meeting of the Provincial Committee for Comprehensive Deepening of Reform. It listened to the report on exploring and promoting the reform of "integrating town and park", carrying out pilot projects to promote high-quality development in townships (streets), and reviewed documents such as the "2023 Work Summary Report of the Municipal Committee for Comprehensive Deepening of Reform", "Key Points of Work for 2024 of the Municipal Committee for Comprehensive Deepening of Reform", and "Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of Central Justice Institutes in Mianyang City and Building a Mechanism for Coordinated Operation in the Area."
The meeting emphasized that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China and is also another important year for the comprehensive deepening of reform. Recently, General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward a series of new judgments and requirements on reform work during important occasions such as the collective study of the Central Political Bureau, the fourth meeting of the Central Comprehensive Deepening Reform Committee, and the National Two Sessions, as well as during inspections at local levels, providing fundamental guidance for solidly promoting the comprehensive deepening of reform. The provincial party committee has made systematic arrangements for promoting reforms conducive to the development of new productive forces, stabilizing growth, and reforming in the areas of people's livelihood. The whole city should deeply study and understand the important spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech, accurately grasp the deployment requirements of the Party Central Committee and the provincial party committee, adhere to innovation-driven development, vigorously promote reforms in key areas and crucial links, and resolutely advance the comprehensive deepening of reform in our city.
The meeting emphasized the need to actively coordinate policies, timely grasp the latest reform trends, proactively plan ahead in conjunction with reality, and strive for more high-quality and demonstrative national and provincial reform pilot projects to take the lead in Mianyang. It is necessary to solidly promote independent innovation reform, continuously deepen the incentive pilot projects for promoting high-quality development in townships (streets), rural housing credit enhancement, talent turnover pool, major department system, and the integration of town and park, constantly summarize experiences, improve methods, increase promotion efforts, and maximize the release of reform dividends.
