On November 17, as one of the “highlights” of the 10th Science and Technology Expo, Mianyang Science and Technology City held a special session of the roadshow of achievements of the National Science and Technology Plan. Chen Hongsheng, the second level inspector of the Department of Achievement Transformation and Regional Innovation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Jing Shigang, the deputy director of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, delivered speeches. Zheng Yuelin, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Xiamen Municipal People’s Congress, Liang Lei, Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy Mayor of Xiamen Municipal People’s Congress, Wang Xiaosong, Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy Mayor of Xiamen Municipal People's Congress, and Hu Jinyao, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Municipal Committee and Chairman of Mianyang Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s League, attended the meeting.
The Mianyang Science and Technology City Special Session of the National Science and Technology Plan Achievement Roadshow was hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and undertaken by the Department of Achievement Transformation and Regional Innovation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Mianyang Municipal People’s Government. Through the small incision of the roadshow, the activity showed the whole chain from scientific research to industry, promoted the deep connection between the achievements of the national science and technology plan and venture capital and enterprises, boosted the transformation and industrialization of a large number of scientific and technological achievements in enterprises, furthered the deep integration of science and technology and economy, and provided scientific and technological support for high-quality economic and social development.
The roadshow was held online and offline. Combining the characteristics of Sichuan Province and Mianyang City, 60 major scientific and technological achievements were released in the roadshow focusing on nuclear technology applications, laser equipment, advanced materials, aviation power, robots and other fields. Enterprises, investment institutions, colleges and universities, professional service institutions, etc. were invited to participate in the roadshow to build a “bridge” between enterprises and scientific research institutions, enterprises and financial institutions.
It is reported that the achievements of the science and technology plan released in this activity involved nuclear technology application, laser equipment, aviation power, advanced materials and other fields. It is the advantage of Mianyang’s scientific and technological innovation, and the key point of Mianyang’s opening up new fields and new tracks for development, and shaping new momentum and new advantages for development. Mianyang will take this roadshow as an opportunity to improve the policy service system for the transformation and application of scientific and technological plan achievements, deepen the reform of scientific and technological system and mechanism, create a good innovation ecology, promote the transformation and industrialization of more scientific and technological achievements in Mianyang, accelerate the construction of a national scientific and technological innovation pilot area, and better serve the national high-level scientific and technological self-reliance.
