The joint commissioning and joint test of the new Mianyang Luzhou high-speed railway from Neijiang to Zigong and to Luzhou began on May 7. The high-speed railway is located in the south-to-middle axis of the economic circle of Chengdu and Chongqing, which means that the inter city railway network of the economic circle in Chengdu and Chongqing is accelerating the formation.
According to China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group Corporation, Chengdu Chongqing double city economic circle is a new growth pole of China's economy, and the high-speed inter city railway network will provide important support for this. At present, the projects included in the "14th five-year" plan form a high standard high-speed railway channel along the river from Chengdu Chongqing middle line high-speed railway and Chengdu Dawan high-speed railway to the East, improve the new land sea channel in the West from Chongqing Kunming railway and Chengdu Ziyi high-speed railway to the south, and build an international channel connecting with the Silk Road Economic Belt from Western Chongqing high-speed railway, Chengdu Xining railway and Chengdu Lanzhou railway to the north. In addition, the newly-built Mianyang Luzhou high-speed railway will connect the North-South central axis of Chengdu Chongqing area from Mianyang to Luzhou via Neijiang and Zigong.
The inner Zigong Luzhou section of Mianyang Luzhou high-speed railway, which started joint commissioning and test on May 7, is connected with Chengdu Chongqing intercity railway in the north and Chongqing Kunming high-speed railway in the south. The total length of the section is about 130 km and the design speed is 250 km / h. After completion, Neijiang, Zigong, Luzhou and other cities with GDP over 100 billion will be linked, and a half-hour high-speed rail economic circle will be formed among the cities. It will further empower the two city economic circle in Chengdu Chongqing region.
At present, the high-speed railway of Chengdu Chongqing middle line is still under planning and design. The Sichuan Chongqing section of Chengdu Dawan high-speed railway and Chongqing Kunming high-speed railway has been started in sections, and the Chengdu Ziyi high-speed railway is entering the stage of simultaneous online and offline construction.
