Mianyang Airport Is Expected to Increase 688 Flights in the Coming Spring Festival

(Mianyang News) The Spring Festival travel season or the Chunyun period in 2019 starts from January 21 and ends on March 1, 40 days in total. On January 16, Mianyang Airport announced that after effective coordination with the industry authorities and airline companies, 688 more flights will be arranged, in order to meet people’s travel needs during the Spring Festival, an average increase of 17 flights per day.
Mianyang Airport will increase flights covering the traditional peak areas of returning passengers in East and South China to meet the needs of them during the Spring Festival. To further meet the needs of tourists, new flights from Mianyang to Boao, Hainan, have been added. Mianyang Airport plans to temporarily open five new urban routes in Wuxi, Huizhou, Wenzhou, Boao and Quanzhou, and to restore the urban routes in Xuzhou and Nanning. This Spring Festival, the flight time distribution of Mianyang Airport is more reasonable; more flights will be added in key cities; more flights will be added in Guangzhou, Jinan, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shijiazhuang and Changsha. At that time, there will be three flights a day from Mianyang to Guangzhou and two flights a day from Mianyang to Shijiazhuang.
At present, China Southern Airlines has increased its routes from Mianyang to Wuxi, Huizhou and Guangzhou; Urumqi Airlines has increased its routes from Mianyang to Boao; Hebei Airlines has increased its routes from Mianyang to Nanjing to Shijiazhuang; Xiamen Airlines has increased its routes from Mianyang to Changsha; and Spring Airlines has increased its routes from Mianyang to Shijiazhuang.
