On October 15, a research team from the People's Census Office of the State Council came to Mianyang to investigate the work of the city's seventh census and held a special symposium.
The research team went to Torch Experimental Primary School in Gaoxin District, Lingtong Community, Shuiyun Binjiang Community, Fucheng District Sub-district Office, Hanjiaji Community, Fujiang Street, Youxian District, Tianchen Sanjiang First Community, Sanhui Ludao Community, etc. They carried on-site inspections, home visits, and listened to reports and other methods to understand the development of the city's census work.
At the Torch Experimental Primary School in the Gaoxin District, the research team watched the results of the census “small hand takes the big hand” activity, and walked into the classroom to listen to the census clerk’s “one class” explanation of the census knowledge to the students. "The theme call for essays, hand-written newspapers, and the MV for the popular promotion song "I grew up here" being filmed like it. In the Shuiyun Binjiang Community and the first community in Sanjiang, Tianchen, the research team visited the grassroots census personnel and followed them into the residents' homes, guided the census entry work on the spot, had a cordial conversation with the residents, and asked about the family population information. Under the guidance of the investigation team and the census takers, the household completes an independent declaration on the spot.
At the special symposium, the research team listened to the report on the work of our city’s population census, and learned in detail about our city’s census publicity work and the development of household survey work. The research team fully affirmed the city’s efficient and orderly promotion of the census work, and hopes that Mianyang will continue to use its advantages in publicity, vigorously promote independent reporting, strengthen census business learning, pay attention to the quality of census data, and ensure high-quality completion of the variouus tasks of the seventh national census.
