On August 6, Yuan Fang, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee, mayor and leader of the conscription leading group of our city, went to Fucheng District and Anzhou District to inspect the physical examination of conscription in 2019, and visited the conscription youth and medical workers. He encouraged the city's young conscripts to consciously accept the selection of the motherland, join the army and serve the country to realize their value.
Yuan Fang and his party successively came to the Suburban Fraternity Health Center in Fucheng District and People's Hospital in Anzhou District to inspect the physical examination of conscription. Wherever they went, Yuan Fang carefully checked the physical examination condition of each department and inquired about this year’s recruitment publicity, physical examination at the designated location and clean conscription, etc. He required that relevant medical personnel should regard participating in conscription physical examination as an honorable task, adhere to the standards, pursue strict procedures and make a good pass, and earnestly serve the vast number of young conscripts.
Despite the rain, those young conscripts, all with a dream of being a soldier, were full of enthusiasm, and perseverance and pride were welling up on their faces. In the waiting area, those young people lined up consciously for the physical examination, and the scene was orderly. "What university did you graduate from? What was the original intention of joining the army?" Yuan Fang came to the young people and had a cordial talk with them.
"Young people should take the responsibility belonging to them. It is our childhood dream to join the army..." Hearing the sonorous answers, Yuan Fang expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of the young people who applied for the army to serve the motherland. He wished them to realize their dreams of being soldiers, and encouraged them to challenge themselves in the melting pot of the army, to grow, to be strong and to realize their values.
In the patrol, Yuan Fang emphasized that the medical examination was an important link of recruiting, and the first level to ensure the quality of new recruits. So the relevant departments at all levels should, with a high sense of political responsibility and in strict accordance with the standard requirements and relevant provisions, standardize the methods and procedures of physical examination, implement the testing equipment and force team, and do every link of the conscription physical examination well with high standards and high quality. We should further improve the system of responsibility and accountability for the physical examination of conscription, strictly following the principle of "One is in charge, so he is responsible, and one does the physical examination work, makes the conclusion and signs, so he is responsible.” What’s more, we should carefully implement the requirements of closed physical examination, do a solid job in all level of examinations, and do well in physical examination work, so as to ensure that the physical examination results are comprehensive, objective and accurate, and ensure the transfer of high-quality troops from Manyang to the army. We should adhere to the sunshine conscription and clean conscription, focus on the risk points of conscription physical examination, and strengthen supervision in strictly implementing the physical examination policies and procedures, thus creating a clean and upright conscription environment.
It is known that in this year, the number of conscription soldiers in our city is basically the same as previous years, and the proportion of college students soliciting guidance is 54%. There were 10,206 online applicants and 4229 college students. The recruitment work in our city began on August 1 and ended on September 30, new recruits were sent from September 10, and the recruitment work ended on September 30. At present, the conscription physical examination work in all counties (cities, districts) of Mianyang is carried out as planned.
