Among them, the key technology and major application of Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System and the technology and major application of mass-producing the high-strength ultra-thin float aluminum silicate screen protection glass, jointly hosted by Sichuan Jiuzhou Aerocont Technologies Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Xuhong Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., and the project of creating and applying the pig disease resistance nutrition technology system, jointly completed by Sichuan Tieqi Lishi Group and New Hope Liuhe Co., Ltd. both won the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. The award-winning projects, which involve the military-civil integration, industry and agriculture, have achieved an output value of nearly 10 billion yuan. The technologies are advanced both at home and abroad and have produced sound benefits in national security, economy and society. They have made great contributions to the innovation and upgrading of national, provincial and municipal industries.
The superintendent of the Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology Intellectual Property said that the main direction for giving the National Science and Technology Awards is to focus on reducing the number of the awarded enterprises and improving the quality of the awarded enterprises. Against this background, three projects of Mianyang have been still awarded and the award winners are four companies (In the past, most award winners were large-scale scientific research institutes), showing that the comprehensive scientific and technological strength and independent innovation capability of Mianyang have been improved.
